Exam nerves: tips for a calm theory exam
A little tension is normal. With preparation and a few fixed habits it stays manageable.

Know where you stand
Uncertainty makes you nervous. In the car theory exam you need at least 44 of 50 questions correct, in 30 minutes. You do not need to be perfect: you may get 6 questions wrong. One hard question is not the end.
Practise under exam conditions
Take practice exams in one go and with the clock running, without stopping to look something up. That makes the rhythm of an exam familiar. Afterwards, look only at your mistakes and read the explanation.
On the day
Be there in good time: the CBR asks you to be at the exam centre 15 minutes before the start of the moped exam. Sleep enough the night before and eat something. Breathe slowly in and out before you begin. Read each question fully and look at all answers before you choose. If you do not know, mark the question, move on and come back; according to the CBR you can mark questions and go back in the moped exam while time remains.
If the tension gets in your way
If you suffer a lot, for example panic or sleeplessness, talk to your GP. If you need more time to read and answer, read about extra time. What the CBR arranges for that is up to the CBR.
